    Customers, who are taking the shuttle service to our branch, are now able to use their mobile phone or tablet to complete the registration and car collection procedure on the way so that they can skip the counter registration upon arrival at the branch and collect the car directly.

A more reassuring registration procedure system has commenced!!

OTS Rent-a-Car’s “Face recognition system” allows customers to register their driver’s licence (with photo) in advance and perform facial recognition before arriving at the branch. This helps to reduce face-to-face contact as well as provide a more reassuring and smoother procedure.

Reservation Procedure
  • ①Please make a reservation on the OTS Rent-a-Car website.
    Reservation Procedure

    Firstly, please proceed to OTS Rent-a-Car website for reservation. Please select “Face Recognition Plan” . At the same time, please register the driver’s details.

    ※It is recommended that customers update their credit card details in advance under OTSClub membership page.

  • ②Register driver’s license・Important points to confirm

    Register driver’s license and upload a photo of the driver’s license upon making a reservation.
    This photo will be used as a reference for Facial Recognition. After registering the driver’s license and uploading the photo of the driver’s license, please confirm the important points of the reservation.

  • ③Advance payment by credit card
    Advance payment by credit card

    Last but not least, please pay by credit card to complete the reservation. After the reservation is successful, a confirmation email will be sent to the registered email address.

    ※No changes to this reservation are allowed on this plan.

    ※Any additional fees incurred during the usage period will be paid on the spot.

    ※If there is a refund, it will be made in cash on the spot.

    An instruction email will be sent to the registered email address the day before the car rental date. On the car rental day, please use the URL link in this email or dedicated URL on the membership page to perform Facial Recognition procedure.

  • You need to log in to the OTSClub membership page (free registration) and upload the photos of your passport, the front and back images of your driver’s license, and the Japanese translation.
  • Reservations can be made 30 days before the car pick up date and only credit card online payment is accepted. No reservation is allowed to be made on the day of car pick up and no changes to the reservation are allowed after the reservation is confirmed.
  • Okinawa Main Island branch has 3 car models; Suzuki XBEE Hybrid (HAF class), Toyota SIENTA (SIENTAF class) and Toyota VOXY Hybrid (HWBF class).
  • Shimoji Island branch has 2 car models; Toyota YARIS (S-class) and Nissan Note e-power (HA-class).
  • Reservation is not allowed for multiple cars under this plan.
  • Departure branches are limited to Rinku-Toyosaki branch (Naha Airport) and Shimoji Island Airport branch.
  • The price of this plan includes Premium Safety Pack which is automatically included upon reservation.
  • In the event of an early return of the car or other circumstances where a refund is required, it will be processed in cash.
Procedure on the car rental day (Okinawa Main Island)

    Start accepting

    On the car rental day, after checking in with the staff at the airport, you may start the Facial Recognition procedure. Please perform the Facial Recognition procedure from the instruction email you received the day before or the dedicated URL on the membership page before or after arriving at the branch.

  • ②Face recognition reception
    Face recognition reception

    Procedure of using a smartphone or tablet to take a picture of the driver’s face for Facial Recognition. After completing the Facial Recognition procedure, you may proceed to the reservation confirmation page.

  • ③Electronic signature and verification code
    Electronic signature and verification code

    Please sign electronically after confirming the reservation. When the procedure completion page appears, it means that the car pick-up procedure is completed.

  • ④Take the rental car key from the key box
    Take the rental car key from the key box

    After entering the 「keycafe verification code」 displayed on the procedure completion page into the key box, you may retrieve the key of the rental car and set off.

    ※Contract, vehicle condition checklist and receipt can be checked on the membership page.

Procedure on the car rental day (Shimoji Island)

    On the day of car rental, please proceed to the preparation page for Facial Recognition procedure from the instruction email you received the day before or the membership page. Upon arrival at Shimoji Island Airport, please scan the QR code placed at the counter (the branch is located in the airport) and the Facial Recognition procedure can begin after the scan is successful.
