"Ozu" is a castle town called "the Small Kyoto of Iyo". "Garyu Sansou (Garyu Lodge)" is on top Hiji River’s best scenery, white walled storehouses line "Ohahan Doori", the castle town reminisces refinement like rows of houses from Meiji, and "Ozu Jinja (Ozu Shrine)" overlooks the castle town and "Ozujo (Ozu Castle)". Held every year from June 1st to September 20th, "Ozu Noukai", counted as one of Japan’s Three Cormorant Fishing areas, lets you enjoy seeing cormorant fisherman show their fishing for sweetfish using cormorants the old fashioned way.
