It is told that this one of the largest in Japan agricultural reservoirs in Japan was repaired by Kobo Daishi. Each year before rice‐planting and discharging of the pond, praying for bumper year is carried out in Kanno Shrine. After discharging, rice-planting on plains of Sanuki is performed quickly. In addition this sound was chosen by Department of Environment as one of 100 sounds of Japan that we want to keep.
