This event is held on the 2nd weekend of October every year. Sanuki Toyohama Chosa Festival is very attractive, splendid and glorious event even among another local festivals held in Japan. Prays for bumper crops, good catch and peace are conducted, the main highlight are 23 Chosa (very large float used to carry taiko drums at festivals) decorated luxurious and gorgeous embroidery from gold thread.
