This event is known as one of 3 great ceremonies of Kagawa prefecture. It started from early Showa period (1926-1989) and it is being held as a memory of posthumous influence of Chikurin Jounin who was also known as "Ryokan of Sanuki" ("Ryokan" was Buddhist monk). Shuttle bus rides from Shido Working Women House (east side of Sanuki city hall) to the spot.
