- This is a memorial house of Yoshiji Takebe who made a great contribution into foundation and development of tsukudani (preservable food boiled down in soy sauce) production on Shodoshima island. With recovered workshop converted as it is from that time's soy sauce storehouse to tsukudani factory, panels on walls and another tools you can study traditions and history of soy sauce production in this building. Of course not only soy sauce and tsukudani, but also castella with soy sauce and basil dressing made of produced on Shodoshima basil are popular these days.
