About "Tubarama" being a highest peak it is singing in characteristic melody of Yaeyama folk song of love and share of joy and sorrow. In this folk song loved for lyricism, intangible culture is inhereted with lyrics. This competition of singers and poetry writers is carried out every year in 8th month 13th day in according to old lunar calendar.
