In Motobu town located on the northern area of Okinawa Island and on Motobu peninsula cherry blossom festival is conducted in according to the time of bloom of Taiwan cherry (winter cherry tree). Bright colors of about 7,000 cherry trees from skirts to the top of 435 m height Mount Yae amuse eyes of visitors.
