Every year on the 4th day of 5th month of lunar calendar during the event as a pray for safe sailing and good catch, headman, Shinto priest, captain and rowers gathers in early morning and pray for safety in the temple dedicated to Kannon. And with the sign from the headman crossing Mishiragi the Hari festival starts with vowing and team participants from the prefecture. After that, a joint social event with citizens, rowers, and spectators is performed grandly.
