rikkarikka * festival (international child, young people drama Festival happens rope) is theatrical art Festival for child, the young people held in summer and family every year. We stage superior works such as drama, dance, puppet play, physical theater, circus that we collected from all over Japan, Asia, the world and hold international coproduction and symposium, seminar, workshop. International child, young people drama Festival held in cities, towns and villages of the Okinawa Island central part in 1994 started as festival that assumed Okinawa-shi main meeting place after several times of small holding in 2005 again afterwards. It was just the 60th year after Okinawa war (World War II). Thereafter it was held every year in summer and reached the tenth anniversary from resumption in 2014. We move main meeting place to Naha in 2014 and start satellite presentation in Tokyo of part work in form to meet request sent for a long time and show new expanse. In 2012, we are chosen as the site of the first ashiteji world meeting by global network ashiteji (association of international child young people drama) of child young people drama that the above joins in 80 countries and are festival that attracts attention from the world. We have a good reputation for high quality program, and, as for most of overseas works, a lot of things staged for the first time in Japan or Asia carry out role of trade fair where every year much producer festival and presenters gather from inside and outside the country. In addition, it is place of encounter, interchange for participating artist and has that Aristrist of different country which came makes work with festival together afterwards. We work on the making of Asian network as chairperson Festival of ATYA (child young people drama Festival network in Asia) positively from 2013. The number of participation Festival increases after Okinawa took office as the chairperson, and the ring spreads more.
