My Pilot [MI-PILOT], a highway driver assistance function

MyPilot assists highway driving with two functions: Adaptive Cruise Control [ACC] and Lane Keep Assist [LKA]. By assisting the vehicle to follow the vehicles ahead by controlling acceleration, brakes and steering to keep the vehicle moving smoothly near the center of the lane, it effectively reduces the stress out of long-distance driving on motorways and repeated stop-and-go traffic to keep drivers more comfortable and relaxed on long drives.

Activates warning and brake control in the event of a collision

The Eclipse Cross uses a combination of cameras and laser radar (on ACC-equipped vehicles) to monitor the distance and relative speed of vehicles and pedestrians ahead. If the system detects a danger of collision, it will alert the driver via a warning buzzer and displays a message screen, and automatically activates brake control to slow down the vehicle so as to help avoid a collision or mitigate collision damage.

Rear Vehicle Detection Warning System (Lane Change Assist) [BSW/LCA]

The system detects vehicles approaching from diagonally behind or behind adjacent lanes, which can easily become blind spots, and notifies you by illuminating the rearview mirror indicators. The system sends you a warning when you turn on the turn signal.

Reduces collisions caused by incorrect accelerator operation.

If an obstruction is detected in the direction of travel and the accelerator pedal is pressed too rapidly or too hard by mistake, the warning buzzer and information screen display will alert you. It also reduces collision damage by restricting the vehicle’s engine output and slowing the start of the vehicle.
