<Tour Introduction>
Whale watching season has arrived in Okinawa once again! Island Message's proud large cruiser, the "Yuukai," not only offers great views, but also features separate flush toilets for men and women, a dry room with sofas for protection from the wind and rain, and more, making it a safe and enjoyable experience for women and children. This season, we've limited the maximum capacity from 57 to 30 people, reducing onboard congestion and stress, aiming to provide a unique tour that is more comfortable for everyone! One of the few departure points, Chatan, makes it a convenient stopover for travelers traveling both north and south. After the tour, enjoy sightseeing and dining at the exotic resorts around American Village.
<Whale Species>
The humpback whales seen on whale watching tours measure 13 to 15 meters in length and weigh between 25 and 30 tons, making them the seventh largest species of cetacean. During the summer, they inhabit the cold northern seas (Bering Strait), but from around December, they migrate south to the warm, calm waters of Okinawa to give birth and raise their young. They are most often seen in the waters off Okinawa's main island between January and March, and in early April, they return to the northern seas with their newborn calves. On this tour, you can enjoy the dynamic behavior of mother and calf humpback whales, from leisurely swimming to occasionally breaching their massive bodies. While you won't necessarily see any intense action, you'll be impressed by the majestic sight of these wild animals!
