STEP 1:
Alternate stepping on the two pedals at your feet to weave the horizontal threads.

STEP 2:
Use the flower heddle to create patterns. Both hands and feet will be busy! Repeat Step 1's actions. Once you get into the rhythm, you will experience the joy of weaving! Watching the thread gradually turn into fabric is truly fascinating and fun!

STEP 3:
Completion! Before you know it, your piece is finished!

It may seem difficult at first, but as you get used to it, you will find yourself enjoying the rhythm of weaving.
※ For the book cover, final hand-stitching will be needed at home.

This is an elegant Shuri weaving experience, reminiscent of the textiles woven for the nobility during the Ryukyu Kingdom era.

Please come to the reception desk on the 2nd floor of Tenbusu Naha at least 10 minutes before the start of the experience session.

Due to the structure of the loom, participants must be at least 140 cm tall.
The book cover experience is intended for those who have previous weaving experience, and final hand-stitching will need to be completed at home.
