Focusing on the traditional “koto” zither instruments of Okinawa, Taiwan, and Korea, this performance introduces the distinctive musical traditions that have developed in each region.

Part One features traditional classical pieces, while Part Two presents contemporary works. Along with explanations of the history and characteristics of the koto in each region, enjoy the diverse sounds of these instruments in the intimate setting of a small theater.
